God never set limitations for His children as it concerns success in life. As long as you belong to Jesus by reason of salvation and baptism with the Holy Ghost, you carry the potential to rise and overcome any form of limitation. If you are struggling with a sinful nature as a believer and you don’t know how come out of it, or your spiritual life is not growing as you desire, I want you to pay rapt attention to what I shall be sharing with you. Every form of limitation, including those that involve your marriage, ministry, business, career and so on can be conquered if only you can believe what am about to reveal to you through the Holy Spirit.

Let me start by showing two scriptures that guarantees you success in every area despite limitations. In Eph 2:6 the bible says “and has (God) raised us up together and made us sit together in the heavenlies in Christ Jesus,” and also in Joh 3:31, it says “He who comes from above is above all; he who is from the earth is earthly and speaks from the earth. He who comes from Heaven is above all,”. I like you understand in line with these verses that, though you are in this world, your placement is in the heavenlies because that is what God did. And because you are from heaven and not from this world, you are above all limitations.

Let me submit it to you that there are no limitations anywhere, human minds is what limits them. That is why Paul instructs us in 1Cor 2:14-16 to make our mind the spiritual mind, because the natural mind cannot comprehends the things of God. I like you to know that, it’s only the man who is operating with the natural mind that can be limited, but if you possess the spiritual mind, nothing, I mean absolutely nothing can ever limit your advancement in life.

Jesus was never limited all through His life and ministry on earth. Despite the manger birth, the rejection by His own people, and the oppositions – He fulfilled His ministry. Paul also was always on top of every situation during his ministry: He was put in prison, yet he wrote a very good percentage of the New Testament. The list is endless of those who rose above limitations to become who God wants them to be. You too can join this list today.

Nature of limitations

There are various natures that limitation takes;

It can be in form of an imposed restriction that cannot be exceeded or sidestepped. This is what happens when there are forces, both spiritual and physical that allocates a boundary that cannot be exceeded. You are trying to move ahead, but no matter how hard you try, you keep getting the same result. I tell you there are forces that have imposed a restriction that you cannot exceed. Paul said in 1Co 16:9 that “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries”. There are many adversaries in life, who will never want you to do the will of God or become who God wants you to be, and until you know how to rise above them, your life will remain meaningless.

On the other hand, limitation can be in the form of a disadvantage or weakness in somebody or something. This is another way many destinies are grounded. Many failed in life, who blamed it on circumstances surrounding their life. Many people believe there is no hope of a glorious future for them because of the circumstances surrounding their birth; but I want you to remember Jabez in 1Chron 4:9-10, who knew his situation and yet cried out to God, and God answered him. Some people blame the economy for their failure, others blame friends for their spiritual failure. But no matter what you see as a disadvantage or weakness around you, God wants you to step on them and reach for higher heights. Moses in Exo 4:10-11 (please read it) complained of eloquence as a barrier to fulfilling his God ordained destiny, but God did not entertain his excuse. You don’t have excuse for failure.

How to Rise beyond limitations

To overcome limitations of life, it is good to understand that life is full of battles and if you don’t know how to draw your battle plan, your enemy will take advantage. Now, let me show you how you can strategize your way to rising above any form of limitation in life.

  1. Counting on God’s ability:

Php 4:13  I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

There is a limit to human ability, but divine ability cannot be limited. The reason why many fail is because they can’t see beyond their natural self. As long as you dwell on your own strength and ability, you are sure to fail. 1Sam 2:9b says “…for by strength shall no man prevail”. We are in the era when strength is failing even the strongest of men. Jesus said “ I can of my own self do nothing..” John 5:30, which should make anyone who wants to reach high in life put a total reliance on diving ability. Many people have gone from failure to becoming a success in various life endeavors because they count on God’s ability.

You are a super-victor in Jesus, His victory is your victory. His life is your life. His peace and His joy are your joy. God has freely given you everything in Christ you need to be victorious. Therefore, there are no limits in fulfilling God’s purpose and plan for your life.

  • Walking by faith:

2Co 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

Victory in life is only guaranteed to those who walk by faith. Limitations only exist in the dictionary of those who walk by sight, because those who walk by faith sees limitations as stepping stones to their goal. The story of the 12 spies of Num 13:26-31 showed us how dangerous it is to walk by sight and how rewarding it is to walk by faith. Joshua and Caleb came with the good report because they saw with the eye of faith and their life was spared in that generation. In this era of increased immorality, outrageous disease spread and economic holocaust, the fittest to survive are those who will be diligent to walk by faith.

2Co 4:13 We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

Faith is a spiritual force that can dismantle every limitations of life, but it is expressed in spoken words. Many people including professing Christians think that, confessing the positive in the face of negative situations is a mere self-deception. But according to the word of God it is spiritual sense. In Isa 33:24 God says, “And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick:…” Faith is confessing what God says even if the situation is going contrary. If you can be diligent to always speak words of faith in line with the scriptures, I can assure you that even mount Everest will not be able to limit you (Mark 11:23).

  • Engaging the force Wisdom:

Luk 21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.

Wisdom is a spiritual force that puts you in command of every situation of life. Wisdom is knowing what to do to overcome any form of challenge in life. The bible says in Ecc 9:18 that “Wisdom is better than weapons of war:” Show me a man that is operating divine wisdom and I will show you a man that can never be limited by any circumstance. It was recorded about Stephen in Act 6:10 that the people were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.

But to access divine wisdom, you must be operating the fear of the Lord (Psm 111:10), which is to hate evil. Joseph was a man who feared the Lord and rose above the prison walls to become a prime minister in a strange land (Gen 39-40). To fear God is to shun every sinful act that is against the will of God. That is the secret to a world of unlimited breakthrough.

  • Warring by prayer and praise:

Act 16:25-26  And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

Prayer coupled with praise has the force to disband any obstacle that may want to stand your way. Prayers that move mountains are those which are offered with thanksgiving. Our Lord Jesus rose above the limitation of the wilderness to feed 5,000 men with just five loaves and two fishes through the weapon of prayer and praise (John 6:5-13). Praising God before, during and after a prayer is a spiritual force that disarms the adversary and releases the power of God.

The Sufficient Grace

2Co 12:9  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness

Beloved, I like you to know that, we have a God that cannot be limited by anything or anyone. His grace is sufficient for us in every situation that we may be passing through. But this grace cannot come upon those who are yet to accept Him as their personal Lord and savior. In this uncertain season, you need to have Jesus in your life if you must be exempted from the crisis that is facing the world. It time to be sure of your salvation, you don’t have to go to hell or live here on earth at the mercy of the devil, when you can enjoy the benefits of salvation. Jesus has paid the price for you: He took your place on the cross that you might live pleasing unto God (Rom 5:7-8); Himself bare your sicknesses on His body (Matt 8:17) and by His stripes you were healed(1Pet 2:24); and He became poor that you might be rich (2Cor 8:9). You can live a limitless life because Jesus has secured an abundant life for you (John 10:10b). His grace is what you need to access the guaranteed victory over all life circumstances. I pray for you right now, that His grace will give motion to your life and grant you the force to lay hold on the kingdom.
